Long Haul isn't too thrilled with his unglamorous role in the Decepticon cause, though he grudgingly accepts its importance. His function - in common with his fellow Constructicons - is to help build the massive energy-recovery installations and defense fortifications for the Decepticons. He much prefers the excitement and glory that comes from being a warrior and jumps at any opportunity to enter the battle. However, he is careful not to seem too discontented with his role, as Megatron allows no dissent in the Decepticon ranks.

Abilities: In vehicular mode, Long Haul can carry up to 90 tons for over 1200 miles. In this form he can carry a heat-seeking missile launcher. In robot mode he carries a laser pistol. When combined with his fellow Constructicons, he serves as the torso module in the giant robot known as Devastator.

Weaknesses: Long Haul is slow and sometimes his unhappiness reduces his effectiveness. He's sensitive to teasing about the mundane nature of his job and can often be goaded into fights in which he may be clearly overmatched.

Appearances: Long Haul appeared in the T.V. episodes "Heavy Metal War," "City of Steel," "The Core," "Autobot Run," "Microbots" "Megatron's Master Plan Part 2" "Desertion of the Dinobots Part 1," "Make Tracks" "The Secret of Omega Supreme," "The Master Builders," "Golden Lagoon," "Triple Takeover," "Starscream's Brigade," "Masquerade," "The Five Faces of Darkness," "Fight or Flee," "Carnage in C-Minor," "The Burden Hardest to Bear," and The Rebirth Part 1. He appeared in the comic book issues 10, 19, TJ 4, 37 and issue 41.
